Ireland's reputation as a location for world class research continues to grow. In 2014 there were over 2,498 academic collaborations, 74% of which were with international partners. The international collaborations cover most of the globe - the largest number are with European academic institutions (58%), with North America and Asia comprising 22% and 11% respectively.
