John and Pat Hume Doctoral Awards - closing 24th March
Three levels of PhD award open for applications, offering up to 16,000 stipend per annum and full fees for 4 years of study.
Maynooth University's John and Pat Hume Doctoral Awards scheme is a new funding scheme for doctoral students intending to commence their doctoral studies at Maynooth University in the next academic year (2016-17). The scheme offers three types of award:
(1) Maynooth University Doctoral fellowships, which consist of a €16,000 stipend and up to €2,000 per year for eligible research expenses, plus fees, for up to four years of full time doctoral studies;
(2) Maynooth University Doctoral scholarships, which consist of €9,000 stipend and up to €1,000 per year for eligible research expenses, plus fees, for up to four years of full time doctoral studies. One MU doctoral scholarship will be awarded to an applicant qualifying under the Maynooth Access Programme criteria;
(3) Maynooth University Doctoral studentships, which consist of fees waivers for up to four years of full-time and up to six years part-time doctoral studies.
